I would give this Company a NO STAR. MUTUAL OF OMAHA should be ashamed of themselves for how they manage the Long Term Care part of which I've had the nightmare of an experience. If they do all of their customers like they have done me and the poor lady I take care of who owns the policy, which after reading reviews it's obvious they do they should be ashamed of themselves. To call themselves a decent insurance company is a flat out Lie. The lady I take care of has a Long Term Care policy that she's paid premiums on that they deduct like clockwork for over 5 years. They continued deducting her premiums even after finally being approved and which they still have not reimbursed her for. When It came time she needed to use that policy to have someone come and help her in her home because she could no longer manage normal activities by herself and developed Dementia. It took me 8 months for them to finally approve benefits and if it had been anyone else they would have given up. because of the complete drawn out process, lack of concern and just the overall amount of bullsh-- they made us go through. I finally had to turn them Into the Insurance commissioner to get them to pay me. I helped this lady and worked for her for free for 8 months because she had no family and no one to help her. And even after The claim was approved I've had to deal with nothing but more aggravation with these people. They keep you on hold for hours or don't call you back. They give you the run around and change phone numbers and emails and case managers to the point of trying to keep you confused or just completely frustrated to the point most people would just give up which is exactly what they hope you do so they don't have to pay. They advertise what a great company they are and how easy it is to use them but I'm here to tell you DO NOT BUY A POLICY WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE YOU WILL LIKELY NEVER GET PAID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE TIME AND PATIENCE OF JOB and that is putting it mildly. Unless you have had to deal with this personally you would not understand or believe what these people do or lack thereof. It's the most unorganized, uncaring bunch ,stuck in the last decade of SCAMMERS that I have ever encountered. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SANITY DO NOT BUY A POLICY WITH THIS COMPANY. AND IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AND CANNOT GET THEM TO DO WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD THEN CONTACT THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER AND FILE A COMPLAINT. IT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR. IVE HAD TO DO IT TWICE. This company needs to be shut down for how they operate and treat their customers. I can only shake my head in pure disgust and hope and pray they go out of business so they can't continue to keep robbing and scamming people. I'm dead serious when I tell you this is the worst insurance company on the planet.Just imagine the worst and add 100 times more bullsh--. I could literally go on and on but there's not enough time or room to tell you about how horrible they are.
