I’ve been a paying customer of Telecom Egypt (WE) for home internet, but my experience has been nothing short of outrageous. Since day one of my subscription (May 16, 2025), I’ve faced severe speed throttling, getting only a fraction of the 80/25 Mbps plan I’m paying for.After repeated complaints, I was treated with disrespect and authoritarian behavior by their customer service. One manager literally told me, “we don’t negotiate or compensate”, and blamed me for their service issue. Later, when the speed was finally improved to 72 Mbps, it was cut back to 20 Mbps within hours — no explanation, no accountability.The situation reeks of intentional deception:– Is this how WE manipulates customers into upgrading?– Do they penalize users who complain?– Are customer service reps trained to intimidate rather than assist?Enough is enough.
