I approached alloy in the hopes of finding an estrogen cream for my face, which is very dry due to menopause. After being referred to a “doctor” I received a recommendation to purchase three medications for over $300. I went ahead and did that and they arrived in tiny bottles with labels that cannot be red so I have no idea what the ingredients are. After using them for three days, my face became so swollen that my eyes were swollen shut. I had unremitting, sneezing and watery eyes, and my face was so itchy that I had to take Benadryl. I was unable to work for two days. I went to a dermatologist who told me that I should dispose of these creams immediately, and that they were probably made in China. When I asked the company for a refund, they said they have a no refund policy. This seems absurd for multiple reasons, not the least of which is the fact that they gave such a small amount of these creams and gave no warning that there would be such a severe allergic reaction. I did not get one offer to remedy the situation either monetarily or physically. No phone call from the alleged doctor, just a denial of my request for a refund. To add insult to injury, they emailed me that they had canceled my subscription, and I was no longer able to log into my account to continue my conversation with the virtual doctor. They are a complete sham and I don’t know where all these positive reviews are coming from- their staff is probably writing them.
