as an expat who hasn´t lived in the US for 48 years , I never even knew i had to file US taxes , until i found out in some random expat chat online that i had to. I went into a total panic mode! So, after my intial shock and to be honest, anger ...... i got myself together and did the Streamlined program. (with the help of a family friend who knows all about what had to be done) .... I sent that off ( paper filed by post) becoming "compliant" Now, i´ve just done my 2025 taxes using My Expat Taxes : after much online browsing around, i found they offered the best rates and the process was smooth , uncomplicated and my tax package was accepted by the IRS . I will be using them again next year . I don´t even want to think about having to fill out those forms on my own! I got a migraine just looking at them when i did Streamline ......
