Hidden Terms: During the payment process for the results, the site includes, in fine print, terms that convert the one-time payment into a recurring, often weekly or monthly, subscription (often around £24.99/month).
Confusing UI: The, checkout page often presents a "skip" or "cancel" button that is designed to be ignored or mistaken for part of the process, ensuring you opt-in to the subscription unknowingly.
Delayed Billing: The main charge often happens 7 days after the initial test, making you forget the original, small transaction.Then just to add insult to injury after contacting the admin team with my payment details to try to initiate a refund i was fobbed off Apparently they could not find a record of my transaction.How convenient.Avoid at all costs.
I did the test and had to pay £1 to get the results I thought fair enough they took a 50p payment then another 50p 3 days later and then 10 days later I’ve been stung for £24.99 the contact link email on their website is not valid neither is the contact email via PayPal website.
So they reply saying that my refund has been authorised but they need to verify my account so they have given me another email address that surprise surprise is also an invalid email address!
They fraudulently charge you a large monthly subscription if u give them your credit card to get your score. They say it’s only 0.70 cents and lie to you. This is a scam website please beware.
They charged me 0.70 cents twice for my test and then charged me a week later $44.99. I don’t have a login to cancel my subscription and their myhelpiq email keep making u go in circles. It’s an absolute scam and they should be shutdown and reported.
There was a ‘free’ test I took in 2025. Recently they emailed me some updates, then suddenly last month charged me $0.99 via paypal (i did not even authorise this, just entered my email to get the ‘free’ results ONCE). And then I think the payment got through then they charged 29.99. It was an unauthorised transaction, there were no payment details asked, they just proceeded to use my email to charge paypal. Backhanded and dishonest business.
This company is incredibly misleading. I paid $1 for a one-time IQ test result, and without any clear disclosure, they signed me up for a $30/month recurring subscription. This is a predatory "dark pattern" designed to trick people. I have already contacted my bank to dispute the charge. I demand a full refund of the $41 Cad immediately. My transaction date was Feb 25 . Do not use this site!
Hi, about a month ago I wrote a review about MyIq and how I was told i'd be paying one dollar for the results of a test and was immediately charged 30$ right off the bat, and the next month another 30$, I have not logged into the site since the first payment was made and would like a full refund since I have not gained anything from it at all, I was told that id be contacted again and have received nothing, no emails or messages at all.
I have just checked my credit card statements and seen today MYIQ have been taking 328SEK from my credit card without my permission. I took a test and paid for it and I didn't sign any membership and now I was charged 327.99 SEK. This is fraud. You do not have a membership number or user name and password. Avoid this website.
Absolutely dreadful company. Paid $.99 to do a a test then without my knowledge they took 29.99 a week later. Since found out that this a common scam that they do. It’s impossible to get hold of them, I have no account but somehow they have managed to take money. Steer clear of them.
Do not get involved with this scam! Regardless of whether you cancel during the trial period or not, you WILL be charged. The only way to cancel is to email the automated system, and you will never be refunded for the unauthorized charges.
I made the mistake of taking an iq test supposedly for $1,00. I was horrified to see my credit card charged for the $1.00 and also for $44.99 for a subscription I did not knowingly agree to. After checking online I found many many people who also were tricked into this.
