After two failed transfers involving missing child seats, CarTrawler stopped handling the complaint and told me that the result of the chargeback would be final.
The chargeback was then rejected, and CarTrawler still has not paid even the partial refund that had already been confirmed.
So the result is this:
• first transfer failed because the driver had no child seat
• second transfer failed because the driver arrived without the infant seat, despite the request being visible in the system and confirmed in chat
• I had to pay alternative taxis myself on both occasions
• CarTrawler then stepped back from the complaint and relied entirely on the chargeback outcome
• even the refund they had already promised has still not been paid
At this point, this is no longer just poor service. It is a complete lack of ownership and accountability.
Families travelling with children should be extremely careful when using this service.
