The guides and porters were incredibly helpful, patient, and supportive throughout the entire journey. A special thanks to our guides, Benzen and Eli, who made it possible for us to reach the summit and encouraged us every step of the way.
The team was also very flexible and thoughtful. Two of us in the group were vegetarians, and they always made sure we had plenty of great food options.
Overall, an amazing experience and I would absolutely recommend booking with them.

On January 28, 2026, the three of us reached the highest point of Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak. We hiked the Machame route for six days. This success was largely due to the local agency we chose, NAFIKA TOURS. We were looking for one of the cheapest options because we didn't want to spend too much money. However, I must say that even though we paid less compared to other agencies, the quality and quantity of services provided were better than those we encountered along the way. The organization and comfort honestly exceeded our expectations. Our guides, Eli and Walter, were truly wonderful; our conversations and stories made us feel like we were friends during this trek. Delicious and varied meals prepared by our chef, Jonathan, and served by Weedy, along with delicious daily afternoon coffee and snacks during the trek amidst the stunning scenery on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Our porters, Nelson (whose assistance at the summit was invaluable), Tom, Elibariki, Patrick, Rama, Abdalah, Alibati, and Tokyo, provided truly remarkable support, commitment, and assistance. All of this ensured that we will nice to mention this wonderful adventure for the rest of our lives. Trekking with such a team was a true pleasure. The level of service and quality was exceptionally high from the beginning to the very end of the expedition. If we decide to go on a safari in the future,we will definitely choose Nafika Tours.
We just returned from 6-day Machame climb. From the beginning to the very end, the team was there to help us make it to the top and back. They checked our gear and supplied what was missing, they left the camps after us but had everything set up before we arrived to the camp, and they even offered their headlamp when mine died close to the summit. The food cooked by Arnold is amazing and abundant, every day something different and surprising. The guides (Efata and Aloyce) were always with us, setting a brisk pace we wanted but making sure we don’t gas out. The whole team made the climb an unforgettable experience.Here is the thing. Looking around the campgrounds and hiking along many other groups, I believe that every company more or less offers similar services. The difference with Nafika is that you are 100% supporting a local business and they will act as a true local, grateful, enthusiastic and caring supporter of your efforts in return. Elias, the owner, started as a porter and now runs a company that brought two groups of people on the same day with us to the top of Kilimanjaro. Your money stays local and feed local families. You can’t say the same with many of the bigger tour companies.
We completed four trips with the Nafika agency: a safari, a trip to the waterfalls with a coffee tasting, a climb on Mt. Meru, and a climb on Kilimanjaro. Thanks to the whole team, friendly, supportive atmosphere and their care, we managed to reach both summits.I thank a specially to our cook, who—despite our very strict diet due to a food allergy—managed to literally conjure up a variety of delicious meals. We also thank the porters and especially our guide, Innocent, who fully adapted to our pace and even our need to listen to music. We felt very good with him during both climbs.Other Pluses:- we appreciated individual approach of Elias (CO of Nafika) to us as a clients,- everything we arranged with Elias was followed through exactly as agreed,- everything went smoothly and on time- tents of Nafika were larger than those of other groups in the camps,- services were more extensive than those of other agencies, -the overall service exceeded our expectations and the level of European standards.
I did the 7 day Kilimanjaro climb with Nafika in Sep/Oct2025. We had a 100% success rate in our group despite some having challenges. Our guides were amazing, super experienced, calm, attentive. Everything was so good, quality of food served for all meals, the tents, portable bathrooms etc. I was even able to rent some stuff that I had forgot to pack. I couldn’t recommend Nafika more, it’s a local company, all staff are local. So you support Tanzanian companies and people when you choose Nafika. It’s responsible tourism. I was super impressed with everything given the price point. There are other companies charging more than double, for huge groups and the companies are not African based.
