Took Napthens Southport 7 months to complete the purchase of our house.Initially months passed by without any progress, despite my chasing. Claims they had been emailing and phoning the sellers solicitors everyday to no avail.I figured I'd call the sellers solicitor myself, it took one phone call from me to realise they had closed down.This meant we missed our first completion deadline.Got a 2 month extension from the lender, only to miss this one also.Napthens informed us everything was ready to complete. Except, one day before completion it turns out the ID on vendors side hadn't been completed. Granted this wasn't down to Napthens to sort, but we clearly weren't ready to complete.Fortunately though, another extension had already been arranged - prior to me receiving the news about the ID ???No urgency, No accountability, No apology. Just excuses trying to diminish their responsibility.I genuinely feel I've spent £000's for paper gathering admin work, instead of a proactive solicitor working with my best interests at heart..Go with a smaller independent solicitor, I'm sure you'll get a more personal experience who listen and more importantly act.
