VERY BAD SERVICE DAMAGE CAUSED TO CAR,
I took my car to have new tyres after a blow out, due to tracking being off, spare is on a under car hand crank carrier mechanism, they used an impact driver, this broke it, they admitted after I had been to the garage that had to fit the new one, at a cost to me of £366.86, (garage said it was broken as had be used with impact drive, not hand crank as intended, Halfords manager, Eve then admitted that this was the case).
They then agreed to give me a reimbursement, but this had not happed after many visits, calls, and emails.
After them admitting the damage of the broken 2nd spare wheel carrier, I suggested that they should probably admit it was the same reason they broke the last one, I provided a copy of both garage receipts for this damage of a cost to me of over £700, double the cost of the tyres that I went in there for. The reason I had to get tyres so soon again , less than a year is that my tracking was way off, this should have been offered after two new front tyres last year, but was not, so I've driven a less than a year with off tracking leading to a blow out dure to balding tyres in the inside and fine on the outside, not good service from this garage, National tyres, Dunstable.
After admitting they were responsible for breaking the spare wheel carrier, to the point of it needing to be replaced at a cost of £366.98 twice, at a cost to me, after the manager Eve, saying he would get me the reimbursement, I have called many times, I've have been in, I have emailed...nothing but fobbed off.
I have been getting my tyres there for years, but after this terrible service I do not recommend them or trust them as professionals, they do not look after or respect your car or your custom. VERY BAD SERVICE DAMAGE CAUSED TO CAR.
