I would strongly recommend avoiding National Windscreens.
Despite being my insurer’s preferred provider, the service I received was extremely disorganised from start to finish. After sending photos of my vehicle so they could identify the correct windscreen, I experienced weeks of delays and confusion about insurance approval that turned out never to be an issue.
I then made three separate trips (over an hour each way through rush-hour traffic) to their branch because the windscreen required camera calibration.
• First visit: told I wasn’t booked in and they didn’t have the correct screen.
• Second visit: again told there was no booking due to supposed insurance issues.
• Third visit: waited over three hours, only to be told that neither of the windscreens they ordered actually fit the vehicle.
I’m self-employed and rely on my vehicle for work, meaning I lost three days of income due to their repeated mistakes. While the complaints team apologised and offered to reimburse fuel costs, that doesn’t compensate for the wasted time, stress, and lack of organisation throughout the process.
After three failed appointments, I declined a fourth. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
