Booked Nationwide Appliance Repairs (Perth) for a warranty inspection and the service experience has been unacceptable.
Over ~6 weeks, I was unable to get a technician inspection completed. Two scheduled attendances ended in no-shows with no proactive communication on the day — I only found out what was happening after chasing Nationwide during/after the booked times.
Scheduling was also extremely restrictive. I was repeatedly advised the Perth technician could not attend after 2:00pm on weekdays, and the only workable alternative offered was an early morning slot — which also resulted in a no-show. Reasons for non-attendance and availability changed over time (including personal/health issues), and ultimately Nationwide advised they could not provide a definite timeframe for an alternative technician.
After escalation, Nationwide offered a $100 “goodwill” payment, but the form provided included a clause requiring me not to post negative feedback online/social media and implied I could be liable for legal costs if I did. I consider that completely inappropriate. A goodwill payment should not come with review gag conditions or legal-cost threats.
Overall: poor communication, missed appointments, inconsistent booking terms, and no resolution.
