I recently had an extremely disappointing experience interviewing for a legal position at Netflix. After an interview, where I was told I would hear back by a specific date, I was completely ghosted by the company. The interview process itself seemed promising.I felt I had built a good rapport with the interviewers. They emphasized Netflix's culture of candid feedback, which made their subsequent silence all the more jarring. When the promised decision date came and went with no word, I followed up politely via email. My message was met with deafening silence. Days turned into weeks with absolutely no response or acknowledgement. This lack of basic professional courtesy is shocking for a company of Netflix's size and reputation. Ghosting candidates after interview shows a blatant disregard for people's time and effort. It also contradicts Netflix's purported values of transparency and honest communication. While I understand not every candidate can be hired, providing closure through a simple rejection email takes minimal effort. Instead, Netflix left me in limbo, wondering what happened and unable to gain any constructive feedback to improve for future opportunities. This experience has significantly soured my view of Netflix as an employer. A company that treats candidates so dismissively likely does not treat its employees much better. I would caution other job seekers to be wary of investing time in Netflix's recruiting process, as you may find yourself similarly ghosted with no explanation
