Bought some white goods from AO.com on 6 month interest free which was great. Set up and creation of account all went smoothly. However, AO price matched a competitor and so refunded me money for the goods. This meant my DD needed to be changed.
NewDay didnt do this automatically so I rang to ask they did it, which they agreed.
This didnt then happen so I massivley overpaid. I rang again when I could see it on bank ready to be taken out to be told repetedly I was wrong and the right values would go out.
It then did go out incorrectly so I rang to ask for refund and them to correct DD and they couldnt understand issue - wanting to set new DD rate at way more than it should have been. Only after arguing, saying they'd breached the DD guarantee, did they eventually agree to refund.
In the end, I logged a complaint, and they rang to say it was all sorted and would close the case. I asked, but they didn't until the next statement was out (3 days later), as they'd mentioned that would be what would tell me if it had worked or not. They ignored this and closed anyway. Next statement came out and it had old DD value on and I got a letter saying I'd breached the T&C's of the plan and so had been removed from 0%! Rang back and told they'd look in to it and complaint would be reopened. Ignored :(
