I’ve booked 4 holidays with Newmarket holidays as I travel solo & so prefer having an escorted tour for part of the holiday etc. they have great reviews. I’m only marking the customer service as 1 as I wanted to upgrade my holiday to Tuscany etc. as I hadn’t read the reviews of the hotel I chose for holiday on 2 June 2027. Was given a choice of 3 hotels & the difference between the cheapest & the most expensive was £129 ish at time of booking. So after checking trust pilot reviews & scores for the hotel id booked I was willing to pay the extra as a solo traveller for a better hotel. When I rang & spoke to customer service the reply was computer says no! As I would have to pay over £600 to upgrade my room to the more expensive choice. It was not over £600 more if I booked this hotel when booking holiday. So I don’t understand as it’s nearly 16 months until I travel why it costs over £600 more. There must be a reason ?? As I’ve been able to do this before when booking with Inghams Travel & just paid the extra & small admin fee. Just thought as it’s not easy to do this, have to mark them down.
