I would sincerely love to recommend that any female requiring advice or treatment for menopausal problems consider a consultation with a Newson clinic. I attended their Clinic in Stratford on Avon yesterday 10/02/26, for a consultation with Dr Charlotte Lines. Dr Lines was both so thoroughly professional and approachable, making me feel totally relaxed and able to communicate my own personal post-menopausal experiences. I discussed my dissatisfaction with our NHS, whereby many ladies are routinely being denied HRT after a certain term of use or over a certain age, despite there being no other clinical reason for having their HRT abruptly denied. This is happening in NHS GP practices all over the UK, despite NICE having issued no such ruling regarding HRT, with no upper age limit or a limit on longer-term use, provided the patient's 'benefit to quality of life is greater than the risk associated'. Having taken HRT for 40 years (estrogen only following hysterectomy/full ovary removal age 39), coupled with healthy diet, moderate exercise and health screening, I continue to enjoy a good quality of life far above that I have suffered following short trials of stopping the medication. At age 78, and for many years now, I have had to obtain my HRT prescription privately which is very unfair in this medically-enlightened, modern day society. Thank you so very much to Louise Newson and her dedicated staff in shining a light on this modern day scandal. Eileen Pegg (I have also posted my same review on The Newson Clinic website). So glad I was not put off by some of the negative comments- problem is people are far more inclined to post bad experiences than good and that's the same for any product or service. Too often we complain when our experience is poor but forget to say thank you or recommend when highly satisfied, that's the human condition !
