I would sincerely love to recommend that any female requiring advice or treatment for menopausal problems consider a consultation with a Newson clinic. I attended their Clinic in Stratford on Avon yesterday 10/02/26, for a consultation with Dr Charlotte Lines. Dr Lines was both so thoroughly professional and approachable, making me feel totally relaxed and able to communicate my own personal post-menopausal experiences. I discussed my dissatisfaction with our NHS, whereby many ladies are routinely being denied HRT after a certain term of use or over a certain age, despite there being no other clinical reason for having their HRT abruptly denied. This is happening in NHS GP practices all over the UK, despite NICE having issued no such ruling regarding HRT, with no upper age limit or a limit on longer-term use, provided the patient's 'benefit to quality of life is greater than the risk associated'. Having taken HRT for 40 years (estrogen only following hysterectomy/full ovary removal age 39), coupled with healthy diet, moderate exercise and health screening, I continue to enjoy a good quality of life far above that I have suffered following short trials of stopping the medication. At age 78, and for many years now, I have had to obtain my HRT prescription privately which is very unfair in this medically-enlightened, modern day society. Thank you so very much to Louise Newson and her dedicated staff in shining a light on this modern day scandal. Eileen Pegg (I have also posted my same review on The Newson Clinic website). So glad I was not put off by some of the negative comments- problem is people are far more inclined to post bad experiences than good and that's the same for any product or service. Too often we complain when our experience is poor but forget to say thank you or recommend when highly satisfied, that's the human condition !

The staff are very professional , very helpful, and listen to what you are asking about. The doctor I spoke to listened to what I was saying, talked me through the process, and sorted out my HRT. I wouldn't go to anybody else now for my HRT . They are so knowledgeable about it and the effects it has on your body. And it's not a fight to have to get it.
Hrt consultation was such a relief to be heard at last....and not just told I shouldnt be on it....so much support from The nurse practitioners at The Newson Centre in Bradford Upon Avon...via phone call appointments...been with them over 5 years ...they are so kind and caring and supportive....simply the best ever menopause drs ever...thankyou especially to Emma Duraz past support...and yesterday nurse clinician Janine .....
For the cost of an appointment, doctors should be better informed on a wider range of health conditions that affect menopause. Just repeating the pre-appointment questionnaire isn't enough, especially if you've been prescribed a very high hrt dosage. It doesn't merit the large price increase.
I have been having online consultations for about 18months now. Each doctor has been so wonderful. My NHS GP has been great, but they cannot prescribe testosterone yet, so that's why I went for Newson after researching and deliberating. Honestly, I feel like me 20 years ago. I have energy and no longer feel I am just surviving. I stayed up to 1130pm last night on a work night to help my daughter with some GCSE revision. I could never have done that before testosterone! The clinic has been great and the balance app keeps me so well informed. Thank you - I am incredibly grateful.
I had a video link consultation. This is a very convenient way for me. The clinician very kind and understanding and has helped me. Before I began the journey I felt extremely tired and had many health concerns. I have found many have improved over a short time. The more I read about the subject I realise there are so many health concerns this way forward will fix. I would definitely recommend and will continue to stay on this treatment.
I struggled with symptoms for several years: anxiety, sadness and feeling like I was ‘fading’ both physically and mentally. I had been too scared to try HRT with 11 out of 13 women in my family having had breast cancer. However, I plucked up courage to have a conversation and contacted Newson Health. They helped me sift through the misinformation and gave me the research/facts as they currently stand, so I could choose what I wanted to do. I have been on HRT for just over a week and already I feel so much better: alive, calm, more me. All the team I have encountered at Newson Health have been kind, generous with information and most importantly Dr Jo Sewell has helped support me to reach decisions about how I want to proceed with my HRT plan.
