One star is too high.It was the worse experience I have had in buying or selling a property. There was a total lack of communication, resulting in me repeatedly chasing them for information, and only finding out at 3.15pm the day before completion was due, that it wasn’t happening. In that phone call I was given incorrect legal advice about the next steps. That resulted in my flat then completing 8 days later without me knowing about it! And me still living there! Since then, they have sent over a confusing completion statement- I’ve asked for clarity about my costs to Nexa. Because despite admitting mistakes, and an email from them saying they will return the interest they cost me because of their incorrect legal advise AND a different email saying there will be a reduction in my fees, I appear to have paid even more than my original agreement of £1500, not less. And I am struggling to find the £700 compensation they claim they have paid me. Nobody wants to go up against a large law firm, but it feels they are being deliberately confusing.Mistakes happen, I understand that. And I have had to think hard about putting a review on here. I would rather it had just been dealt with properly- apology, here’s the £940 back that we cost you, and a reduction on your fees because you did not actually get the correct standard of work from us. Problem solved. Instead, I know have to go the to the Ombudsman and Law Society for a resolution. Maybe they can explain where the £2,300 I gave to Nexa has been spent.
