Review Time
I have bought and sold several properties over the last 5 years. For the most recent sale, and the most complex, I used Nexa Law, specifically Terese Kingman. I have been incredibly imprssed with every aspect of what was a complex sale. Terese's knowledge, professionalism, friendly and helpful nature have been wonderful. I am very impressed with Nexa Law and throughly recommend them.
The last time we moved was twenty years ago so we don’t have a huge amount of experience in this field.
We sold our existing house via modern method of auction (so we had to be out in 56 days) and we had an offer accepted on a vacant property which we were hoping to complete on at the same time.
All we heard from numerous sources was.. “can’t be done” or “the new house will never be ready in 56 days so book an air bnb”
Meanwhile Jayne and Rebecca at Nexa law just got on with it. Communication was fantastic and they were amazing from start to finish, and they had the new house ready for us inside the 56 days.
The solicitors that were selling our house were utterly appalling, and Jayne even wrote some emails to them (as though written by me) to put a fire up them.
Hopefully we won’t be moving again for a long time, but if we ever do, we will be using Jayne at Nexa Law.

Sara & Wesley handled my sale of a leasehold flat. It was a challenging case for sure being leasehold and there was many issues along the way and delays, but it was never from the side of Nexa. They helped me a lot and kept me updated very regularly. We have now completed. & I am now selling another property through them after a good experience.
Wendy Hewstone, now of Nexa Law but previously Access Law then Footner & Ewing, has been our retained solicitor for circa 15 years. She is always on hand to offer advice on our property transactions and works efficiently and competently. Wendy always forwards on responses from the other side immediately so we can get purchases/sales done quickly; we managed a house sale in 7 weeks from offer to completion in 2024 thanks to Wendy's organisation. In our most recent property sale, where we were dealing with an unhelpful 'factory conveyancer' on the other side (who were ignoring all emails relating to an impending exchange of contracts), Wendy even took the paperwork with her on holiday just in case the 'factory' rabble suddenly bothered to get in touch to exchange (they didn't for another 5 days, but it shows that Wendy goes above and beyond, and was expecting the unexpected). Highly recommended.
From my initial phone call and email about selling a property, I have been extremely impressed by the knowledge, friendliness & support of the staff who effectively communicated with me at NEXA Law: Sara, Wesley & Alicia. I think the process of selling a home is complicated under the English law, e.g., that when a buyer agrees to buy your home it is not guaranteed until the contracts have actually been exchanged, which can be months of worry about this falling through. However, the staff above liaised closely with myself & everyone involved in the process of selling & buying a house to ensure that all of the steps were completed asap & constantly kept me informed.Huge thank you again to an amazing team of people at NEXA Law who I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a solicitor because they went over & above to support me through the process of selling a home.
