I contacted corporate Nissan USA to ask…

I contacted corporate Nissan USA to ask for support about the indiscriminate and unusual discharge of the main battery in my 2020 Nissan Leaf SL Plus vehicle. The vehicle has 25400 miles on the odometer and has been failing to report accurate battery level information for more than a year, causing much distress and safety issues when the battery suddenly drained fully on trips. I took the vehicle to a local dealer and paid for diagnostics to be completed. The results were not able to diagnose the cause of the battery drain problem and they claimed that the battery was functioning properly. When the problem became even worse, resulting in having to have the vehicle towed to a safe place on one occasion, I called Nissan Connect and the issue was escalated to talk to Nissan Consumer Services USA, and they called me back,I repeated all that I had reported previously to the local Nissan dealer and to Nissan Connect. They were very sympathetic and apologized profusely, but said that I would have to take the vehicle back to have another diagnostic testing done by a dealer of my choice before they could do anything further. Unfortunately, their dealers are all "independent dealerships" so, they could not set it up or pay for the tests and the dealer's results were my responsibility. I have a 120000-mile "bumper-to-bumper" warranty contract on the vehicle. However, diagnostic tests are not covered, unless repairs are indicated as being necessary (per the dealer). Therefore, Nissan Consumer Services USA said they could do nothing more for me.Is this good customer service or a good example of support they give for their very expensive vehicles? I think not!
