I have been a customer of this bank since i was a child (it had a different name in those days). I now live abroad and have a couple of old accounts. I have no access to my accounts and while trying to contact customer support, to be kind is to state it’s a complete waste of time. Totally useless and unhelpful. When I then came to Finland i discovered that you can’t even visit the bank without making an appointment first. After a lot of rigmarole I discovered that the bank had started taking monthly maintenance fees (I have never signed anything that i would agree to that) so I consider that to be a pure crime, a theft. Imagine if anybody else would do that?! I got absolutely nothing for that fee, no internet banking, no access to my account via phone or anything. So when visiting the bank I decided to close the account and wanted to withdraw the funds. (othereise the bank would eventually taken all the money). Even that wasn’t possible as the bank no longer has any cash. Imagine that! It’s like the worst nightmare but it’s reality. After a lot of pressing and puffing the bank staff agreed to transfer the funds to a savings account. I have no idea how I ever will be able to access those funds one day when i need the funds. I have written a long complaint to the bank explaining my precurious situation but I have never got any reply whatsoever. They simply don’t care!
