I purchased a NordicTrack from Dick's Sporting Good in December 2019. Today, I received an email from iFit that indicated: With the release of our new lineup of machines and the launch of the new iFIT, we’re excited to share the latest in home fitness tech that brings personalized fitness to you. From revamped hardware to new iFIT features like streaming services3 and Workout Creator, we’ve revamped just about everything.Because your current machine will no longer receive iFIT software updates, it qualifies for our Trade-Up Program. When you buy new equipment, you’ll receive 20% off and free delivery, installation, and removal of your old machine. Plus, $100 off an iFIT annual membership so you can get the most out of your investment.I was shocked that NordicTrack would discontinue supporting iFit on a treadmill that was purchased less than 5 years ago. This is not a promising situation for Nordic Track, Icon or any of their other brands owned by Icon Health & Fitness including Proform, Weider, HealthRider, WorkoutWarehouse, Weslo, UTS, Gold's Gym, iFit, Altra and FreeMotion. If NordicTrack can do this regarding a treadmill that I purchased 5 years ago, what will they do to you in 4-5 years?I liked the product. But, I would not have purchased this product knowing this is how NordicTrack operates. FYI - My last treadmill that I purchased lasted well over 10 years. Treadmills are expensive and you don't expect that they become obsolete in less than 5 years.
