The VPN service itself works well and does exactly what I need it to do. I have no complaints about its performance. My issue is with the interface on both the app and the website. It feels intentionally confusing, almost designed to make users think they’re not fully protected unless they purchase additional add‑on services.
I understand the desire to grow the business, but the constant prompts and the misleading presentation create frustration rather than trust. Instead of encouraging me to upgrade, it has the opposite effect: it makes me less likely to recommend the product because the experience feels pushy and unnecessarily deceptive.
To be completely honest, if I hadn’t already been locked into another multi‑year subscription — without the option to simply renew for the one year I actually wanted — I would not have renewed at all for this reason.
