Bought a subscription but I couldn’t use it for what I needed as i didn’t get full information from the website I wanted to access and Ricardo Escamilla helped me get a refund for it. I can’t thank him enough.
They autorenew way ahead of date they tell you. They told me in march it ends and they autorenewed in februari. It's a scam and their services are used by other people. Most their Ip's aren't clean either even their dedicates useless ip's have been used before. I would seriously not put your money here , i will never use this service agian, I used normal plan and dedicated btw .
I love how Nord just works on all my devices. I have been with other companies and it was always a struggle to use them. I had an issue where I paid twice and they were quick to resolve my issue by offering me a better plan.
It was the first time using their services and an offer made me a client. Although I knew them like a brand. A problem occured and when I had to talk with the support in live chat I was already reluctant due to the nature of my job. Long story short after 3 agents Amelie, Felipe and Louis, internet interruptions, ai bots, question that were coming out and in corporation with the Revolut's support, these 3 guys gave a 5 star service and a full difficult refund within hours. That's why I am happy that I become a client and I don't regret it. Thank you
Nord VPN has crap customer service. They have no phone support only via email or chat. I was locked out of my account and they would not reset my MFA authenticator without the original purchase amount and the form of payment. I have several cards and could not remember which one I purchased the service on. So they essentially are just robbing me of a service I pay for by not providing me with access to the account I paid for.
I’ll be cancelling my account. Im forever pausing it. Completely slows searching and opening wedsites. It’s a pain in the butt if I’m honest. After Reading these reviews looks like I’ll need to be sure they are blocked from future renewals.
I have been a loyal NordVPN user for 2 years on a yearly subscription, but the last 4 months have been an absolute nightmare. I am writing this to highlight a critical failure in both your software and your technical support.
1. The Chrome Extension Handshake Issue:
My primary requirement is the Chrome Extension. For 4 months, it has consistently failed with the error: "Couldn't connect, try Windows app." Your support team keeps claiming my "country is restricted," which is a blatant excuse. I have used this exact service in the same location for 24 months without a single issue. This is clearly a Protocol Handshake or API Authentication failure within the extension itself, not a regional block.
2. The Windows App is Unusable Bloatware:
Following support's advice, I installed the Windows app, and it is a disaster:
Extreme Latency: The app takes 20 minutes to launch and another 30 minutes just to load the login page.
Connection Timeouts: It takes over 30 minutes to establish a single UK IP connection.
System Instability: The app crashes constantly and triggers a persistent network kill-switch that cuts off my internet entirely upon PC startup.
Reinstallation Loop: I am forced to uninstall and clean-install the app every single time I want to connect. This is not a "solution"; it is a broken product.
3. Incompetent Support Experience:
The support staff I interacted with seemed technically illiterate regarding these specific bugs. Instead of escalating the issue to Tier 2 engineers to look at the extension's connectivity logs, they simply blamed my ISP/Country. I have wasted 4 months of my paid subscription on a service that doesn't function.
My Demand:
I do not want to use your broken Windows app. I paid for the freedom to use the Chrome Extension. I want a technical resolution for the extension's connectivity or a formal explanation as to why a 2-year functional service suddenly "restricted" my account while still taking my subscription money.
I have already performed a clean wipe of app data, flushed DNS, and tested on multiple browsers (Chrome/Edge). The issue persists across all. Please check if there is a MTU size conflict or a Handshake Timeout specifically affecting the extension's proxy protocol in my region that was updated 4 months ago.
I contacted customer support to cancel one of my two NORD VPN subscription and request a refund. The process was smooth and easy. The support person Matías Tobar responded quickly and explained the steps clearly. They were polite and helpful throughout the conversation.
My subscription was cancelled without any trouble, and the refund was initiated as promised. I appreciate their quick response and professional service. Overall, I had a good experience with customer support.
As much a techy as I'm not, you folks made everything super easy. I like easy fixes. Totally cool that you can send a question one day and have a quantified answer the next day. You're the bomb. Keep up the good work and support.
NordVPN has been VERY helpful as we travel a lot and would need to access different websites to handle utilities, banking, etc where otherwise we could not do that internationally. Their customer service is FANTASTIC. Matías was the most recent person to help and he went above and beyond to explain a billing renewal to us. THANK YOU!!!
