Have been purchasing the Low 1 white shoe for years. I've owned at least 5 or 6 of them. Wow was I shocked to get the most recent pair... Everything - and I mean everything - has been replaced with cheap garbage. The shoe is a far cry from the original in every way possible. Interior lining, exterior construction, shape of the toe box, tongue... They went from Italian craftsmanship to a third world assembly line and it shows. Even the box it came in and the shoe bag (not that it really matters) looked and felt cheap. When you pinch on product, it doesn't matter how much you spend on remarketing, discounts, "conversion" costs... the real hidden cost of customer loss is when a brand makes such a critical mistake with their core offering. I would've gladly paid $50-75 more with transparency on cost increases to get the same product... If you are looking for a shoe that used to be in line with Common Projects and other high end sneakers - sadly it seems that Oliver Cabell's time has (hopefully temporarily) come to an end.
