This is an update. I spoke to a kind and lovely senior advisor who assisted me with cancelling my module and degree course. They promised to pass on my concerns to the faculty. So the ending was actually good.My studies were funded by SAAS, so it didn’t cost me anything. I am very very grateful, I think Scotland is doing something outstanding here. But, even though it is not my own money, it upsets me very much that the quality has gone down so much in such a short time. From my own experience, I would recommend all neurodivergent, certainly autistic people, to stay away from the OU. What happened? Support had been outstanding in the past. But there was absolutely zero understanding of autism from any of the tutors I encountered on this module. The shocking bit: this is a psychology module. Most of the tutors also work as therapists, apparently.
