Everything was fine until you file a dispute (in this case a fraudulent charge on my credit card) and that's when the nightmare began. Regardless of the outcome of your dispute (even if you weren't at fault), OpenSky will report the dispute to the credit bureaus NEGATIVELY effectively ruining your credit score. Keep in mind I always paid my bill in full on time, kept my credit utilization under 20% etc. However, their policy states any payment disputes (even if you win) are reported to the Credit Bureaus! In my case this resulted in 52 points fall! Imagine working for months to fix your credit and pay off debt, only for your score to drop 52 points overnight for filing (1) disputed $50 transaction with OpenSky! You get penalized twice, once with the fraudulent charge, the second through OpenSky when you report it. The only way to remove the negative report is too cancel the dispute! Or ask the Credit Bureau to remove the record! What a SCAM, what an incredible evil thing to do to your customers! What is the purpose of building good credit, if creditors can ruin it at a whim?? Stay away from OpenSky they will ruin your credit for the dumbest reasons!
