From communication to over a week delay in delivery, they were just awful. Do not depend on their estimate - the individual driving companies they hire can charge whatever they want above that and Optimum did nothing to review the charges or argue on my behalf that the charges were in excess. They also did nothing to compensate for the dragged out delay of getting my things and many times told me it was because they could not get a hold of the carrier (so they had no clue where my belongings were). Do yourself a favor and skip this company. Total scam!
They are cheaters. They are middle man and initially they will ask very very less price to attract you and give you good discounts. Never fall in the trap. They will ask advance of $360 which is completely their money and the quote they provide as per your moving item is completely fake. Actual charge will be decided on the last moment and final day of moving. When the truck driver will come he will tell you double the price what was discussed even though you have less item what ever discussed. He will start to negotiate. The worst part is you have paid $370 dollar just to get the truck driver details. The actual price decider is the person who comes with truck. If you call this company they will simply say the price is as per the moving items and if you ask them what about my quote and all my items are within the quote then they will say that was approximate. Even the person will be there they will say no is mot in office today. Just imagine the way these people are cheating. The truck driver will start convincing you that you paid $360 to get my number which is a good price. In my case my total prices was decided $1390 but I paid $2600 with missing of one box which was worth of $250 and broken furniture. All these happened due to last moment negotiation with the driver. This what is their business model they will talk very nicely till last 1hr of your move the real game starts when the driver will come. They new in last moment customer wont have options they have give money whatever is asked. This is the business model what they follows. I had very very bad experience. The person who I negotiated with he picked my call when I mention that truck driver is asking kore money he disconnected the call and next time he wont pick your call and the other person from the same company will he is not in office today. Just imagine if you have lease and you are moving on the last day and someone will asked you double the price then what are the options left. Be cautious before taking their service.
