We recently stayed in one of this company’s Lincoln City properties. While the home itself was attractive and well located, our experience was significantly impacted by the lack of basic utilities.For the first two days of our stay, the home had no heat and no hot water. Maintenance was sent out on two consecutive days; however, the issue was not resolved during that time. Being without heat and hot water on the Oregon coast was extremely uncomfortable and disruptive.We were initially offered an alternative property located approximately 45 minutes south of Lincoln City, which we declined as we specifically chose this location for our stay. We were then offered what was described as a “better” home. Unfortunately, the replacement property did not have an ocean view and was not comparable in quality or amenities. It was also listed at a lower nightly rate, so referring to it as an upgrade was misleading.Relocating two days into our vacation required us to repack and move, further interrupting our trip. When we inquired about compensation for the lack of heat, lack of hot water, and the inconvenience of relocating, we were offered either early checkout or an $85 refund. We did not feel this adequately reflected the disruption to our stay.VRBO did attempt to assist and provided a $100 OneKey credit, which we appreciated. However, our experience with the property management company fell short of expectations.We ended up receiving no compensation of any kind from anyone. We hope this feedback encourages improved communication, transparency, and responsiveness for future guests
