I've been with Outschool since 2020 and have gone from a Mega Fan to being on the verge of giving up, and happy to jump ship at the first available opportunity. Teaching quality is still fantastic (if you know where/how to look), which makes this review so hard.Customer service is non-existent at this point. Chatting with other parents, it seems that many of us have noticed this change (and even left OS). I used to get immediate responses that easily resolved the issues, and now I get what appears to be a vague (AI?) response with no follow-up when asked for. I have had $20 in credit sitting in my account for months now, and whether I have the 'apply to membership' toggled on or off is irrelevant - it never gets applied to any payment I make, and customer service refused to give me a real answer about this. Which, of course, is going to make me nervous about putting any more money than that to sit waiting in an account I may or may not be given access to.Beyond this, the introduction of the memberships has just gotten worse and worse. Right now, my kids have been unsubscribed from pretty much all of their classes due to a payment method failure, and when I tried to downgrade to a more affordable amount of credits, it is applying that plan to *next* month only. So even though my kids have had their classes dropped, it is still insisting on an expensive plan payment to cover the credits that it shows are listed in my account, but that (as it explains) won't be applied until my membership payment is made. This is SO much more confusing than it needs to be - and I say this as likely their main demographic (millennial parents who grew up with the internet). It's basically one email for any kind of customer support, and they are fully committed to either not understanding or not helping, but either way, the result is an extremely frustrated family who feels like they are getting jerked around by their kids' school.
