I have been a loyal customer with Oxigen for over 15 years and, until now, I have never had an issue like this. My bins were not lifted today because my account balance was €21 instead of the required €25. While I understand that policies must be followed, I was very disappointed with how this situation was handled.I contacted customer service and I would like to say that the lady I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful, and I understand that this was not her fault. However, I was told I would now have to wait two weeks for my next scheduled collection, which I find very unfair.Given my long-standing service with Oxigen, I feel some flexibility could have been shown, such as arranging a collection within the next few days once the account was topped up. Being left without a bin collection for two weeks over a small shortfall seems excessive and not reflective of good customer care.
