We booked and paid for a property through a platform, only to find multiple reviews indicating that the hotel hadn't been associated with the platform for years, and that reservations were frequently denied. We contacted customer support, which promised a response within 24 hours, but after 72 hours, we received no reply. Upon arrival, our reservation was refused, with the hotel stating they don't accept online bookings and aren't affiliated with the platform. To avoid being without accommodation, we had to pay cash just to check in. Reaching customer support was a nightmare; we called the number provided multiple times, but only connected with an agent on a couple of occasions due to poor call quality. When we finally spoke to someone, we learned the number was only for domestic inquiries, despite being the only contact given for our international booking. It's unacceptable for a company of this size to list properties that aren't available, take payments for unfulfilled bookings, and provide inadequate support. I strongly advise against using this service unless you're prepared to manage everything on your own and potentially incur extra costs.
