I made a reservation in November intending to stay the next day, but somehow it got booked for the current night (at 11pm?) due to the site defaulting to that option, leading to a terrible user experience. I immediately tried to contact customer service to change the booking, but faced numerous dead phone numbers and automated systems. After being transferred multiple times between hotel and service representatives, several agents stated, "we do not have authorization" to manage my booking and could not connect me with someone who did. There are no policies preventing changes to bookings. I submitted a dispute with my bank, and a week later, during the escalation, I received an email claiming I checked in to the hotel?! This feels very suspicious. Now, I've received a response from my bank dispute, with the service stating I checked in and out on those dates. This is completely misleading. The booking system and customer service are both terrible.
