My puppy was weaned onto paleo ridge and was on it until 8 months old. She kept suffering with gut issues, I did an elimination diet etc assuming it was an intolerance but no change. She then fell extremely ill, with hemmorhagic diarrhea. It was awful she was screaming in pain and so unwell for 2 weeks. She was hospitalized and fecal tests revealed she had salmonella. I was convinced she had IBD whilst on this food, but since switching following the salmonella poisoning she’s had no issues with her digestion. Although I can’t prove that it was the food that gave her salmonella, I know it was. I feel that this meat is unsafe and almost killed my puppy. Please stay away from this brand.
