From the time I entered the training facility I was made to feel welcome and knew that this was going to be a positive experience. Jo (our trainer) put everyone at ease. One key feature was that she introduced each of the 15 or so participants by our names. It was obvious that Jo had had a wealth of experience in the medical field and she was careful to explain the why behind the skills we were to learn. Her manner was supportive and friendly, and this made a positive impact as she gently corrected our errors and ensured we had mastered the skills required. The 5.5hr course flew by and I came to the end sure that I could use my training in an emergency situation.
