I was expecting delivery of a bike yesterday (Thursday) and ensured that both my wife and I would be at home all day or at least until the bike was delivered. At 11.39am I received a message saying that they tried to deliver the parcel but there didn’t seem to be anyone in. How two adults and one very reactive dog could have not heard the postman lugging up a hefty parcel up our pathway and ringing our very loud doorbell is beyond me. You’d think had they done so and found no one in then they would leave a card saying they they had attempted a delivery - which of course they didn't. So I have to come to the conclusion they are either incompetent and have tried to deliver to the wrong address or they are lying to me. Neither of which I am very happy about especially as this service has cost me £49 (although technically I am not the customer).
I now have to wait until next Tuesday (as it’s the Easter weekend) for them to “redeliver” my bike. I had been looking forward to long cycle rides on my new bike over Easter. No chance of that now. Thanks a lot Parcelforce.
