Absolutely terrible experience with Royal Mail customer service. The guy was rude, completely unhelpful & made absolutely no effort to help me. I recently sent an expensive item internationally & it was stuck in Germany for 5 weeks. The tracking then changed that it was leaving the UK! Then today it changed again that the receiver refused the item! All very confusing. I phoned customer service & waited on hold for over 30 minutes & the guy asked for the tracking number, which I gave him. He then asked for the address I sent it to. I told him. He said it was wrong. I explained I had the online receipt I bought the postage from & it was correct. He said it was wrong. I also had the receipt from the Post Office I sent it from with the address on & he said it was wrong. I gave him my name & address & the reference number. He said that he couldn’t help me due to GDPR rules! I inputted the correct address on the Royal Mail website when I bought the postage & I posted the label they sent me! I asked to speak to his supervisor & he hung up on me. Totally unprofessional & unhelpful. Never again. No wonder Royal Mail is on its knees.
