By the time I actually found the right app to download, register and pay I was 6 minutes in. I paid for 8 hours parking and was 8 minutes over. £100 fine. I tried to extend it after I realised (already left the car park), it doesn't let you. No problem, thought the appeal process would be reasonable... Nope. I get the pay for your parking time, but there should be allowances, just a money making scan if you're minutes over, please make sure you cover the hours from the start, or register if staying at the hotel overnight.
