I bought a GoCube smart cube (that connects to the phone via bluetooth) a while ago, to track my speedcubing progress. After a year and several thousands solves, the app lost all my stats. Obviously I can't trust the app anymore that it won't loose my progress going forward so I asked for a refund under EU Directive 2019/771 (that means electronics need to have at least two years of warranty) but was basically refused by support saying it was not a hardware issue.To be fair, the hardware of the cube is alright. But since it's marketed as a "smart" device, I still strongly believe the capabilities enabled by the software are an essential part of the offering and the makers should be responsible for it as well.
