Issue: Older Bosch dishwasher stopped cleaning, leaving residual particles, film, dish soap deposits. After troubleshooting, we determined the detergent cup wasn't working properly. Ordered a new part (Part Select had the best price for this) & it arrived very quickly, very well packed. The Repair deets: This model requires you remove the entire door panel. Put down something to catch it, a low stool or a large pot as it will drop suddenly. Be VERY aware, once the original dispenser cup is removed, the surrounding metal edges on the door are razor SHARP. My hand slipped & I lost the skin off a knuckle. Putting the part in required my mate's brute strength, but once it seated, we put everything back together, the washer is literally working like new, actually even better. We suspect the rinse aid dispenser wasn't working either. Definitely worth the bit of skin I sacrificed to the DIY faeries. We now have shiny, clean dishes we don't have to rinse first & saved the cost & hassle of a new dishwasher. .
