I strongly advise caution when dealing with PDF Leader based on my recent experience.Everything about my interaction with this company displays the hallmarks of a non-compliant and potentially fraudulent operation. After discovering an unexpected subscription charge, I immediately followed their process to request cancellation and a refund. I provided all legitimate information required to locate a transaction — including:The exact amountThe date of the chargeThe last four digits of my cardMy full nameMy email addressDespite this, PDF Leader repeatedly claimed they “could not locate the payment” and then insisted I provide:The first six digits of my bank card numberAdditional highly sensitive information that no legitimate merchant would ever needThis is a major red flag and directly contradicts standard industry practice and FCA-aligned anti-fraud guidelines in the UK. No reputable company requires, requests, or repeats requests for the first six digits of a payment card to identify a transaction. Merchants can fully verify a charge with the transaction amount, date, last four digits, and name — all of which I already provided multiple times.Furthermore, their responses appear automated, generic, and non-specific. They ignore the information already provided and circle back with the same scripted request for excessive card details. That behaviour is typical of high-risk or fraudulent subscription models. For clarity:My bank’s fraud department has now been notified and is monitoring this merchant closely. They are prepared to take immediate action the moment any pending amount settles — including a full chargeback under FCA card-scheme rules and a fraud investigation if required. To be clear: this company has been given every opportunity to resolve this properly. Instead, they persist in asking for unnecessary card data while refusing to acknowledge clear evidence of payment.I am posting this here to:1. Warn other consumers before sharing any sensitive financial information2. Provide publicly recorded evidence of my attempts to resolve the matter3. Ensure full transparency should further FCA-aligned action be requiredUntil this company complies with proper verification standards and stops requesting excessive card details, I would strongly advise avoiding them entirely.
