My husband Mark and I had to travel during the hottest part of the day in 90+ heat to get to the mountains to a cabin. Our dogs laid on the mats and didn't pant. They actually slept with the AC on. We used them on the floor at the cabin and at home. They love them. The dogs lay on them all the time even with the AC on because the both have double coats. A Border Collie mix and a Husky puppy.
