On 09/24/2023 at 14:00, I went to Pep Boys (2754 E Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032) to oil change and service my car after 10k miles on the car which only has 24k total mileage in the meter. Annex 1 and Annex 2 (attached documents). When I came home, I noticed the Engine Check Light. I had no engine lights whatsoever for 10k miles, as soon as I went to Pep Boys, I got the Engine Check Light. What is coincidence? To verify this, you can pull my car's history, I had done no repairs whatsoever for 10k miles. To have a cherry on the top, the manager L***, his first response was ''Oh! this is not our problem. You will need to book an appointment and it will cost you a diagnostics fee of $100-200''Seriously?Forget about the warranty and stuff. The work you did (12 hours ago) The customer paid almost $1000 for the oil change and brakes just 12 hours ago. That possibility has created an issue, the least you can do is move from your desk/chair and come to the car and maybe plug in the ODII and do a quick scan of the car computer. There are garages that are offering FREE diagnostics. As soon as you did service the problem occurred. Nothing before for 10K miles.I am so disappointed and disheartened.I will be pursuing a suit and contacting regulatory authorities. I wanted to give you a chance to make things right.
