⭐½ (if I could give half a star)
My wife needed a larger vehicle for day-to-day use and we purchased a 22-plate Transit from Perrys Burnley.
During the sale, the salesman (Simon) was polite and helpful. Before buying, I arranged an AA inspection. The report flagged that the brake discs and pads required replacement. I raised this with Simon, who assured me they were fine and didn’t need changing.
Within one week of purchase, multiple issues appeared:
Rear doors rattling
Service light came on
AdBlue tank empty
Hill Start Assist not working
Other minor faults
After the sale, communication from Simon completely stopped. We were later told he was off sick, but no one else stepped in to help. We then had to go through the finance company, which was extremely slow, before finally receiving a call from the manager.
The van was eventually booked in and left with Perrys for a full week, during which we were given a courtesy car. As far as I can tell, little to no work was carried out other than resetting the service light. Despite repeated requests, no receipts or proof of work were provided, supposedly because the van had been sent to Ford.
When we collected the vehicle, the AdBlue tank was still empty.
Now, two months into ownership, we’ve had to replace the rear brake discs and pads ourselves — exactly what the AA report warned about before purchase. Perrys have refused to contribute to the cost.
Overall, the aftersales service has been extremely poor. Once the vehicle was sold, support disappeared. I would not recommend Perrys Burnley and will not be using them again. I have added this review here as I contacted Perrys Burnley directly and got no help or response I then put a google review and facebook review and still have had no follow up
