No cap policy revealed Perry’s implicit…

No cap policy revealed Perry’s implicit bias by asking guests (male and female) with no exception or grace warning from dining in their main dining area. The second manager informs us that the only head wear that was asked to be removed was ball caps. I ask why, of all the choices that Perry’s were laser focused on ball caps? He shrugged as if he didn’t know but behind his eyes he knew why ball caps, with their relaxed attire policy. There was no disclosure, like house of cards, when I made our reservation and they took our credit card, when we entered the building (signs nor verbal no cap notification) it wasn’t until our party was seated and one party member arrived with a ball cap that our table was harassed by three requests to remove the cap or move to the bar area with our party. The dress policy was discussed after seeing people with cotton beamy hats, gumshoes, sweat pants, & jeans. Our party member after responding one manager and 2nd twice that they were so uncomfortable about removing the cap or moving to the bar, they said their goodbye’s to the remaining four people in our party and departed. Their departure heightened my curiosity about this policy I was not aware of. Two people in our party never heard of the NO ball cap policy. The second manager had to go through four layers on their website/app to reveal the policy. How deceptive! The server was amazing!! Finally we had enough. We could see clearly what was happening. We cashed out, paid for our drinks wiping our hands forever from Perry’s. We departed without eating at Perry’s, after 20 minutes of harassment and discussions with the managers. We arrived at restaurant near by pivoting our dinner party, but without that fifth person who wore a ball cap. I will NEVER spend money with a business that overtly wheels deceptive / whistle-blowing practices/policies. For the shocking list of items they allow and choose to target go to Perrys Steakhouse website under dress-code.
