My wife and I along with Friends visit this Perry's probably weekly if not at a minimum every other week. We were just there on Friday 9/5 and got the burger special with the old fashioned but that was too sweet so they let us sub it for just a regular old fashion that was great. We came in as a party of 5 with a 4pm reservation on 9/10 and asked to do the same thing and were told no problem. My wife and I both ordered the burger to do the deal for $24 and got a French onion soup to share. it started off bad as the soup was room temp and I would have sent it back but server was no where to be found. My burger ordered Med was over cooked to well but didn't say anything because the flavor was still good. We then ordered the Pumpkin cheesecake and both had cappuccino which both were room temp not hot at all. We told the manager and he said thank you for letting him know and then we got the bill and we did not get the special per the waitress in the bar area because the manager said no. The manager came over and said that if he did it then corporate would ask questions and he just wasn't going to do it. After we expressed our dis satisfaction to the waitress and her reply finished this night off with I just serve you food I don't cook or nor do I make any disissions here.this is not the way we expect to be treated.
I had the worst prime rib ever!! Half of the prime rib was not edible and barely able to cut with the knife I was given. On the other had my wife had steak and lobster that she stated as fine. When I expressed my feelings about the rib the only reply from our server was he did not charge me for my beer. I doubt if I will ever return!!
Worst Dining Experience Ever!I can't even begin to describe my terrible experience at this restaurant. From the moment we sat down, it was a disaster. After a long wait, we were finally greeted by an employee who poured water and said he was not our waiter. The service was incredibly slow. Our server barely acknowledged us and seemed more interested in another room than taking our order for drinks and not the entire meal. After waiting over 30 minutes for our drinks, we finally got them. My lobster bisque arrived cool—the waiter offered to heat it, but after such a long wait, I was afraid it would be another 30 minutes! The food arrived almost an hour later, and although the plates were hot, the food was not.The atmosphere was no better. The place was noisy, and the tables were so close together that we could hear every word from the table next to us. After sitting at the table for over two hours, we asked for our meals to be boxed and dessert to be taken away. I spoke with a manager, and he said they were busier than expected. It was Christmas week, and all restaurants knew they would be jammed and needed to make accommodations, but not Perry’s. The manager did comp our drinks the problem; each person had a different consumption, and one had none. The entire bill should have been comped. This is the worst dining experience I have had, and if it weren’t for the others, I would have walked out the door. I will NEVER return to Perry’s again and strongly recommend you avoid it if you value your time and money because it is pricy.
Our son and daughter arranged an evening out for my husband and I on our 48 wedding anniversary. They made reservations at Perry's and we were picked up by a limousine to and from the restaurant. The place is very nice, upscale and polished. Our waitress was nice but seemed a little nervous. Shewas so soft spoken that we could barely hear her over the music and noise. This was not a place for aquiet evening. My husband and I also had to speak loudly to hear each other. At times it seemedchaotic but people overall seemed to be enjoying themselves. My husband ordered the pork chopdinner which was recommended by our driver. It was very tender and my husband loved it although Ithought it could use more seasoning. I had the 6oz filet mignon. I ordered it well done but was notexpecting it to be charcoal-burnt and dry. We also had the three cheese mac and cheese, which wasgood. The salad had so much salt and pepper we couldn't eat them. This dinner was supposed to be anice treat but it fell far below expectations. After we finished dinner, we met our driver on Olive Street. As we tried to enter the car, a traffic director started screaming at us and our driver, saying that wewere holding up traffic which we were not. He said patrons could not be picked up in that location, even though several other cars were doing the same. He instructed our driver to drive away and leavemy husband and me in the street. The officer motioned as if to produce a gun or taser and we quickly got into the car and the driver drove away. This officer (a middle-aged, short, plump, black man) was so rude and apparently had some type of complex as he felt the need to escalate a situation that could have been remedied with manners and gentle instruction. If what we did was such a violation, signs should be placed around the restaurant so that patrons can clearly know how to catch rides/taxis. We will not be returning to this restaurant. If I knew the traffic directors name and supervisor, we would've reported him.
We had 8:45pm reservations for a celebration dinner as I stated when making my reservation on the Open Table app. Getting caught up in graduation traffic, I called the restaurant to say we were running a few minutes behind schedule. I was told keep in mind that the doors would be locked at exactly 9pm. Google still says 10pm! When I stated that Google said they were open until 10pm, she laughed on the other end as she stated no, we are not. Restaurant was told this was a graduation dinner, she could have handled it differently and said we lock the doors at 9pm so if it is a minute or two later, please call us and we can let you in. I felt so extremely disrespected as a customer. Things happen but it is how this was handled. We in fact did arrive in the parking lot at exactly 9pm but I was not going to walk up to the locked doors. Instead we went to another restaurant right in that area to have an amazing dinner.
My recent visit to Perry's Steakhouse and Grill left much to be desired, particularly in terms of food quality and refund processing. Upon calling to inquire about their crab cakes, I met with a polite receptionist who seemed concerned about my main interest and took my order. Upon arrival, I experienced a brief wait before being greeted by a waitress who presumed my name directly, a nice touch that initially impressed me. However, the charm quickly faded as I received my food within moments after taking it to the car to inspect and fulfill my craving.Disappointment struck when I discovered that the crab cakes, which were the highlight of my visit, were nothing more than two minuscule, overcooked patties. Despite my reluctance, I took a bite only to find the taste even more disappointing than the appearance.Deciding to voice my dissatisfaction, I requested a refund for the remaining uneaten portion of my meal. What followed was a frustrating 45-minute ordeal, during which the manager, Matthew, claimed he was unable to process a refund due to some obscure "code." Despite my insistence and frustration, my request was unfulfilled.Eventually, another manager intervened, but even then, the situation was not resolved to my satisfaction. The lack of a proper refund process reflects poorly on Perry's Steakhouse and Grill, leaving me feeling awkward and dissatisfied.Amidst the disappointing experience, one shining aspect was the valet, Scott, whose polite and considerate demeanor elevated the overall ambiance of the restaurant. However, even his exemplary service couldn't salvage the overall disappointment of the terrible crab cakes. In conclusion, Perry's Steakhouse and Grill needs to prioritize improving their crab cakes and refund processing procedures. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment to others, as my experience left me thoroughly unsatisfied.P.S. I did in fact, receive the refund requested. I am now satisfied and may opt for a salmon dish next time I consider Perry's decent service and atmosphere. Big thanks to Scott the valet man. He was the best.Respectfully AJ
We did not have a reservation; place was empty around 5:30 but took three aloof people at the desk over 15 minutes to seat us. The server (Jordan) was nice, almost worrisome. The food was the biggest disappointment: my medium filet mignon was cremated and dry, the fried asparagus was overly breaded and had no taste (not worth $24 or even $5). My partner snapper was dry and bland. Drinks and dessert were good. We drove 1.5 hours for $220 (w/o gratuities) meal that was truly a letdown. The place was still more than empty when we left!
