I have been in my property since June 2025 and I just want to preface this review by saying that I love my home.
It's warm, comfortable, a nice size and I'm very happy here.
My main issue with Persimmon is the aftercare. Their "customer care" for after sales issues is honestly, shockingly poor.
I have had damp in my bathroom since at least December 2025. I raised the issue to customer care who fobbed me off. I complained again in March 2026 when the issue was getting bad, there's mould on the walls and the paint is bubbling / peeling / cracking.
I was given an appointment in April where someone would come round to fix the issue. I specifically asked for the bathroom to be dealth with as a whole and not to be spot painted / repaired.
Well, that's what they did. The new paint is cracking and around the new paint is bubbling / cracking / peeling away.
I have emailed customer care 3 more times since the visit 8 days ago and I've heard sweet fudge all.
Their customer care team is a waste of money. The warranties on the property are worth nothing.
I'm so annoyed with the customer care aspect of Persimmon and that they are blatantly ignoring me.
If you're buying a Persimmon property, be warned.
