At Christmas time my beloved Vizsla became very ill and had to undergo CT Scan and Chest surgery. My specialist Vet team would contact PIA direct for pre approval with these costs (approx $22000). I would then receive an email showing the Vets estimated cost, estimated benefit from PIA then estimated Gap amount which I had to pay.
It is an excellent experience and the process was stress free. After the operations and fees paid I would then receive a complete statement displaying the amounts that were charged by the Vet and the amount paid by PIA. I would highly recommend the 80% Cover. I have had the insurance since my Vizsla was 6 months old (now 10) and it clearly is the best decision I have made.
