I insured my dog with Sainsbury's earlier this year and last week had to make my first claim from them. It's not a huge claim just £320.00. Having used various pet insurance companies over many years (I have 5 dogs) I have so far found Sainsbury's nit picking in the extreme, they seem reluctant to pay out for a relatively simple claim. Most recently questioning why my dog wasn't seen by the vet for an 18 month period, simple...the dog was fit and well and didn't require veterinary attention! I remain out of pocket whilst they ruminate over the next inane question to ask me. I paid the premium in good faith and simply ask that they uphold their part of the agreement. I certainly couldn't recommend using Sainsbury's Pet Insurance.
