My complex had us use it for ESA verification, and it was obvious right away that the system is built to discourage.I submitted a clean, legitimate ESA letter from my licensed therapist recommending two animals, and the plenty more information than is legally required for each animal, SEPARATELY. Instead of accepting it (as the FHA allows), they demanded “supplemental documentation” that they aren’t legally entitled to ask for, and the site gives you no way to respond, only to resubmit with whatever extra info they decide they want.The whole thing is designed to push people into giving up so landlords can collect pet rent. If you’re stuck using this service, save every email and be ready for unnecessary hoops. Definitely not a renter-friendly company.This company profits from pet rent and related fees, and because you cannot be made to pay for an ESA, they will do everything in their power to break you down until you give in and just pay fees. As a landlord or renter, please be aware of these practices.
