This is my first time owning pet insurance. I have to say it's a blessing in disguise. Not knowing a lot about pet insurance, I had to follow up with the insurance broker to find out what the status of my claim was because it was 3 weeks after I submitted it. Until I reached out to them I didn't realize I was missing documentation for them to complete the claim. Once they received all the documentation from my veterinarian and surgeons everything went quickly and smoothly. The claim was approved within a week. The only think I wish Pets Plus Us would do is provide better communication why my claim was delayed and what was required. Outside of that the communication was easy once I knew what I was doing.
